RAFOGO【India and the United States jointly produce and develop drones】

India and the United States' drone cooperation is based on the close relationship between the two countries at the defense and strategic levels. Such cooperation is not only aimed at enhancing India's defense capabilities, but also hopes to promote regional security and economic development through technology transfer and joint research and development. In recent years, China's rapid military modernization and expansion strategy have led India and the United States to strengthen cooperation in drone technology.

The main contents of this cooperation:

Technology transfer: American companies transfer advanced drone technology to Indian partners, including design, manufacturing, software and control systems. This technology transfer helps India enhance its independent research and development capabilities.

Joint R&D: Engineers and scientists from both countries jointly participate in drone R&D projects, share knowledge and experience, and improve R&D efficiency. This includes jointly developing new drone platforms and improving existing technologies.

Production facilities: Establish joint production facilities in India for manufacturing and assembling drones. This not only reduces production costs, but also promotes local employment and technology transfer.

Testing and certification: Set up a dedicated testing and certification center in India to ensure that jointly developed drones meet international standards and India's usage needs.

The Indian government supports the development of drone technology and local production through various policies and incentives. For example, the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) program encourages local manufacturing and R&D. DGCA (Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation) has also simplified the regulatory framework for drone operations to promote the development of the drone industry.
